P021 (P21): a CNTF-derived neurotrophic peptidergic compound
P021 (Ac-DGGL(A)G-NH₂) is a synthetic small neurotrophic compound derived from the active region of ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF). In rodent Alzheimer's and ageing models it enhances hippocampal neurogenesis and BDNF and reduces tau hyperphosphorylation. The evidence base is entirely preclinical; no human dose is established.
